Long long ago there lived a fisherman in a village by the sea. He was very poor. He somehow maintained his family with his small income. But he was happy with his family. He lived by fishing. It was a rainy day in the month of July, 1920. It had been drizzling since last night. He got up early in the morning and went out to go to the sea for catching fish at the risk of his life. Suddenly a storm arose while he was fishing in the middle of the sea. His boat was wrecked. He fell into the sea. Finding no other alternative he tried hard to save his life by swimming and began praying to God. Finally he saw a log floating on the sea water. He swam towards it and climbed on it. He floated for five days with its help. Finding no food he only drank rain water. On the fifth day he found a ship. He raised his hands and shouted at the top of his voice. His loud cry reached the ship. At last he was rescued by the ship. He returned home. He was thankful to God for the help ‘He’ had offered.
