The Sly Fox who lost his tail
words:228
Once there was a cunning fox in a forest. One day he was very hungry. He went out in search of food. While he was walking through a forest, he was caught in a trap. He somehow got out of the trap, but he lost his tail. Without a tail, he became very sad and ashamed. But the cunning fox thought and thought and finally made a plan. He invited all other fellow foxes to a meeting. He said to them, “I am going to tell you about my important discovery. It is useless to have a tail in our life. It is an extra burden for us. Without a tail, I feel myself lighter, happier and more comfortable than before. Now I can run faster than before. Cut off your tails to free yourselves from an unnecessary load.” The foxes listened to the speaker with great attention. They decided to cut off their tails without wasting time.
At that time an old fox stood up and said in anger, “Do not follow this rogue. He has lost his tail in a trap. Now he looks strange. He wants you to look like him.” Hearing this all the foxes became very angry with the cunning fox and drove him away from the forest.
