The Dove and The Bee

There was a big banyan tree on the bank of a river. A dove lived in a nest of the tree. Once a bee was flying about in search of honey. Suddenly it fell down into the water of the river. She tried hard to get out of the water but could not as the current of the river was very strong. The dove on the banyan tree noticed that the poor bee was going to be drowned. He took pity on the bee and dropped a dry leaf on the water just before the bee. The poor bee got on it (the leaf) and saved her life. Then the bee flew to the dove and thanked him in gratitude.
A few days later the bee was gathering honey in a grove near the banyan tree. By chance, he found a hunter aiming his arrow at the dove. He decided to save the bird. At once he flew to the hunter and stung hard on his hand. The hunter felt a great pain and lost his attention. As a result, he missed his target (aim). The bee was happy that she could save the dove who had once saved her life.
Moral: One should be grateful to one’s benefactor.
