A Bengali gentleman and a European

One day Ashutosh Mukherjee was travelling by train. He put his slippers under his berth and fell asleep. Some time later a European got into the same compartment of the train. Seeing an Indian sleeping on the berth the European became very angry. He threw away the slippers of Ashutosh outside the window. Then the European took off his coat and put on the berth. After a while he fell asleep. Suddenly Ashutosh woke up and did not find his slippers. He understood everything. He threw away the European’s coat outside the window. When the European awoke, he took no notice of his coat. He wanted to know from Ashutosh about his coat. Ashutosh said in reply, “Your coat has gone to bring my slippers.” The European has been paid back in his own coin.
Moral: Tit for tat.
or
A rogue should be paid back in his/her own coin.
