We cannot live without water. It is essential to life. But it can take away our life too. Water is now being polluted throughout the country. So water pollution is a curse of modern age. It is a great problem all over the world. The main cause of water pollution is the untreated sewage of towns and cities, which directly flow with water into rivers. Water is polluted by poisonous wastages from mills and factories. Oil tankers are usually washed at the ports with hot water. Power stations regularly release hot water into rivers. Dead animals are often thrown into water. Water pollution is a threat to life on earth. Water borne diseases are caused by drinking impure water. Polluted water causes skin diseases also. Aquatic animals and plants are killed. So people should be aware of its danger. The government along with the pollution control board should come forward to take appropriate measures to control water pollution.
