A mobile phone is a wonder (miracle) of modern science. It is very useful and helpful in many ways. It makes our lives easy and convenient. It is undoubtedly a blessing.
Uses of mobile phones:
We use mobile phones at every step of life. At one time we used them for only calling and sending messages. Now our busy life revolves around them. Nowadays people use smart phones. In some cases they are better than computers. Truly speaking they have replaced computers and laptops. We use them as calculators to make our work easy. Mobile phones can be used as a source of information. Students can easily get help and collect the relevant information for learning. One of the best advantages of mobile phones is communication. People can communicate with their friends and relatives within a few seconds. They can save our lives in an emergency.
Abuses of mobile phones:
A mobile phone is a blessing but not an unmixed blessing. It has its dark sides also. It stands in the way of public relations. It creates distance between man and man. People engaged in talking on mobile phones instead of talking to one another sitting in the same drawing-room. Mobile phones cause distraction in men. Now-a-days some people use mobile phones while walking, working and eating. They use mobile phones to talk to others while driving. Mobile phones distract students from their studies. They get addicted to mobile phones by too much use of them. Addiction to the use of mobile phones all the while causes a lot of mental disorders like loneliness, tension, anger, depression, irritability, etc. Mobile phones cause many ailments (diseases) like sleeplessness, blindness, headache, etc. Our eyesight gets (becomes) weaker day by day. They hinder our privacy. People are vulnerable to hackers. The buying of costly mobile phones has become a trend of fashion today. Some people always want to buy new and costly mobile phones. They waste a lot of money on mobile phones. They buy costly mobile phones, pay the charges of internet packages and other kinds of service packages.
Conclusion:
There are uses and abuses of mobile phones. A mobile phone does not spoil anyone’s life but the user spoils his own life himself. Everything depends on how he uses it. A mobile phone is useful to him if he uses it for useful purposes. It is harmful to him if he uses it for useless purposes.
