The District Project Officer

Sub: Prayer for a primary school
Sir,
I, on behalf of the people of Beldanga at Berhampore subdivision in Murshidabad, would like to bring your kind notice to the following fact for your favourable consideration. Ours is a village with 300 families (our village has 300 families). But we have no primary school here. The nearest primary school is about four k.m. away. It is impossible for the little children to walk such a distance daily, especially during the rainy season when the roads become muddy. As a result, the children are deprived of the benefit of education and the number of drop-cuts are increasing day after day.
I, therefore, request you to set up a primary school in our village.
I hope you will act favourably, realizing our condition.
Yours faithfully,

Sub: Ragging in educational institutions
Sir,
I shall be highly obliged if you kindly allow me to draw the attention of the authorities concerned to the evil practice of ragging in some educational institutions through your popular daily.
Ragging is a common word to the hostel students. At first, the senior students did it for enjoyment and to make the newcomers of the hostels smart.
But now it has become a tyranny to the hostel students. The students are tortured physically and mentally in the name of ragging. Ragging has taken the form of corporal punishment even in the engineering colleges where most of the brilliant students assemble for studies. Many students often leave the hostel being ragged or in fear of being ragged. Some students even die from ragging. As a result, many valuable lives are nipped in the bud.
I, therefore, appeal to the government to take immediate steps and oblige thereby.
I hope our popular government will not lag behind in stopping the practice of ragging in educational institutions.
Thanking you,
Yours faithfully

Sub: The necessity of planting trees
Sir
I shall be highly obliged if you kindly allow me to draw the attention of the authorities concerned to the usefulness of planting trees more and more through your popular daily.
The relation between man and trees is deep. Trees do a lot of good to mankind. They give us food, fruit, fuel, wood, timber, medicine and many other useful things. They supply us with oxygen. They give us shelter and shade. They protect wildlife. Trees bring clouds, clouds bring rain and rain brings harvest. They stop(prevent) soil erosion.
They purify our environment from air pollution and keep the balance of nature. We cannot think of life without trees. So, we must grow [plant] more trees and look after them with care and love. This will be our sacred duty to our best friend, plants.
In the circumstance, I request the government to take immediate steps and oblige thereby.
Or,
I, therefore, request you to write an editorial on the issue to draw the attention of the government for taking measures.
Sincerely yours,
Rupam

Sir,
Through the columns of your esteemed daily I would like to bring to focus on cybercrime which is a major concerning part of the digital world.
Nowadays, cybercrime has become a growing threat to the digital world, and the victims are none but innocent people. Today the world solely depends on the internet, but cybercrime is growing beyond control.
Cyber laws and awareness among the people about various types of cybercrimes are needed. There are many ways to keep our personal information safe on the internet. If people are aware of such steps, the risk of getting hacked will become less. Strict cyber laws and their enforcement are needed to ensure punishment for such criminals and deliver justice to the victims.
In the circumstances, the authorities concerned are earnestly requested through your popular daily to do the needful at the earliest.
