Once upon a time two women were quarrelling over the claim of a baby. They came to a judge to settle the dispute. Both of them strongly claimed to be the mother of the baby.
The judge heard everything and remained silent for a while. At last he sent for an executioner. Then he ordered him to cut the baby into two equal halves and give each woman a half. At this, one woman kept quiet. But the other woman cried out in sorrow and said, “Please Sir, do not cut the baby. Give the baby to her.” Then the judge found out the real mother. He handed over the baby to the weeping mother and punished the false mother.
Moral: Motherly feeling is the strongest sentiment in a woman’s heart.
