A town is called ‘a concrete jungle’ which is full of hurry and worry. A townsman hardly knows his neighbour. He lives alone without anybody’s help. The poor people live in the crowed slumps. They do not get fresh air, sunshine and pure water. The air in the town is constantly polluted by smoke from cars and factories. Life is full of cares and anxieties. Everything is measured in terms of money. Love and sympathy are absent from the town. A townsman has to pay for his amusement. Accidents are a daily occurrence. Fresh air is rare here. The public park is crowded with people. Pollution causes lung and heart diseases. Noise pollution hampers people in their sleep. It affects patients and children. It disturbs the students also.
