Once upon a time two friends were passing through a forest. The forest was full of ferocious animals and two friends were very much frightened. But they promised to stand by each other in danger. Suddenly they saw a bear coming towards them. One of them knew how to climb a tree. He at once forgot his friend and climbed up a tree to save himself. The other friend knew that a bear does not touch a dead man. He fell flat on the ground and held his breath like a dead man. The bear came and smelt his ears, nose and face and left the place taking him to be a dead man. The first friend came down and asked, “What did the bear tell you.” The second friend replied, “The bear advised me never to trust a man who leaves his friend in danger.”
Moral: A friend in need is a friend indeed.
